On 8 August 2006, Dr. Ye Duzheng, Academician of CAS, one of the founder of modern atmospheric sciences of China, world famous meteorologist, visited the National Climate Center accompanied by Dr. Dong Wenjie, Director-General of NCC. During his visit, Dr. Ye realized the development and construction of NCC, encouraged every scientific and technological staff. His visit was the best support for the construction in field of climate and climate change and the climate services during the flood season.

      Dr. Ye Duzheng visited the NCC facilities accompanied by Dr. Dong Wenjie, Dr. Li Weijing, Dr. Luo Yong and Mr. You Youyuan, as well as Academician Chou Jifan. The leaders of NCC introduced the construction of NCC, climate trend prediction and climate services during flood season, as well as the construction in field of climate and climate change.

      Dr. Ye highly appraised the achievement of NCC. He wished NCC would strengthen domestic and international cooperation, continued its efforts in innovation and breakthrough along the scientific path.
